Sandile "Sandza" Magadlela, a Video Editor and Post-Production Professional, began his film career as an Office PA, like many others in the industry.
In 2021, he joined the Picture Editing Caucus at the Director’s Guild of Canada and has since supported all aspects of post-production—including data wrangling, sync, scene assembly, project management, trailer editing, and more— most recently for multi-award-winning production company Sinking Ship Entertainment in Toronto, Canada.
His most recent contributions as an Assistant Editor include the Apple TV+ originals Jane (Seasons 1 & 2) and Ghostwriter (Season 3)—both award-winning, live-action, CGI-heavy TV shows that helped refine his technical, collaborative, and creative acumen.
Before joining the DGC, Sandile spent 5+ years in freelance photography, video shooting and editing for clients like Nike, SharkNinja, PWC, and Porsche Customer racing team Sportcar Boutique Racing. His experience also includes Product Advising and Technical support at Microsoft Rogers, and Shaw Communications in Vancouver, Canada.

Starting as a hobbyist in 2015, Sandile picked up a camera for the first time and began capturing portraits of his friends. This soon evolved into designing resumes for his classmates at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Eventually, he switched majors from Business IT Management to New Media Design and Web Development at BCIT, graduating with distinction before launching into the freelance world.
